RAVE REVIEWS ABOUT GIAN CARLO MENOTTI

“Menotti was one of the most prolific and theatrically talented American opera composers of the last century. He has left an indelible mark on American music.” - William Mason, General Director, Lyric Opera of Chicago

"Gian Carlo Menotti introduced a generation of Americans to opera. He was one of America’s great composers.” – Peter Gelb, General Manager, Metropolitan Opera

“Menotti has made out of plays, operas, and out of operas, plays. It is dramatic music, emphatic in action as well as feeling, and in essence song, which is what opera must be. No other American composer has shown the inborn talent that Mr. Menotti, Italian by descent, unquestionably possesses for the lyric theater.” - French press
