Pascual
and Angela were two of the most respected Spanish and flamenco
dancers in the world. Pascual was the premier Spanish dancer
with Jose Greco's Spanish Ballet and also worked in opera
with Placido Domingo, on PBS and Broadway. For 27 years,
Mr. Olivera performed with his wife, Angela, a former prima
ballerina with Antonio's Ballets of Madrid and Royal National
Spanish Ballet. Barbara Landis, COC's General and Artistic
Director, is proud to dedicate this performance to the
memory of these wonderful dancers who were her dance teachers,
choreographers, and friends.
